So now tv have introduced a boost option to add 4k channels and on demand. It’s called ultra boost.
when will ee tv Apple TV users etc be able to receive this?

Same. I'm cancelling the second I can, the product offered is a much lower quality than can be obtained via Sky.
What is the minimum term? I thought you could only cancel at the end of the contract or you have to pay each month left of the contract.

Your cousin needs to learn the meaning of ‘NDA’ 😢
Also to get with the programme - EE is selling Sky Stream right now:-

Funny he’s so far behind if he works there?
And it’s alongside the existing offerings, not instead of them.
EE boxes need to be brought into compatibility with Ultra Boost, it is true, but EE have committed to do this. Apparently, the hard part isn’t making the boxes compatible, it’s fixing the ordering system so they can sell it.
In the meantime though, I need to be brought into compatibility with what you are saying being sound, and that’s an even tougher job 😛

I was told mine is 12 months contract so only have few months left. Not sure if it’s the same for everyone though.

It will. EETV are just not saying which ones 😛

My question is whether asking to switch to Sky Stream mid-term counts as the early termination of an EETV contract or not?

Tell your cousin to check the facts before providing incorrect information to non employees, risking their employment @DMC2303
Everything @Midnight_Voice has said is correct. Everything you've said is wrong.

I have to say I would be interested in that answer too as I have to be honest I am very disappointed in the offering so far and the sound on the EE boxes is so inferior to the Sky Q box.

EE is acting as a reseller for Sky Stream, but billing is still direct to Sky. It therefore wouldn't be considered an in-contract replacement for EE TV, and thus early termination charges would apply.

I’m not entirely surprised by that, and nor am I entirely surprised by the billing being direct with Sky, as I know how EETV manages to find its hands tied at every turn.
But I am a little surprised, as one of the EETV selling points was ‘one bill to bind them all’, and so Sky Stream places itself outside of this.
So why would anyone buy via EETV; why wouldn’t they buy direct from Sky?
And I am far too polite to ask how EETV derives any revenue from the arrangement, though naturally I wonder. Finders fee? Monthly stipend? 😛

It's complicated. 😔
