Not being able to record on minibox or watch recordings

We've just changed from Sky to EE. Upon setting TV up it looks like you can't record from a mini box but only from the main box, and if I'm right, what is more concerning is we can't watch our recordings on any other box other than the main one.  Is this correct? If we had another primary box, could we watch our recordings on that?

I hope someone will clarify

Hi @DrPepper3  each (recordable  EETV) box recordings are specific to that box so can only be played back on that box.

@Ronb123

The pup you’ve been sold is that you can’t record on the Box Minis, and you can’t replay content from the Box Pro on them.

So not the experience you were expecting perhaps, but I don’t think it invalidates the content promise, at least as far as Sky programmes go.

Can those Sky mini boxes actually record, or do they just relay the request to the main box?

However, this is one big difference from Sky that the EETV Guides should be making everyone thinking of migrating from Sky to EETV fully aware of, so that it can inform their decision.

@Midnight_Voice  The Sky Mini Boxes do not have a hard drive

It’s also worth pointing out that if you go to Sky as a completely new customer, it is almost impossible to find how to sign up for SkyQ now. The only way, that I could find, is to go to sky.com/tv/sky-q directly in your browser, which I am sure is not marketed as such now. Everything now is geared on steering you towards the streaming box or glass tv. In fact the FAQ’s that a new customer would likely alight upon, specifically state the following
