Hi. I’ve just started setting my box up. It’s connected to the internet with full signal but is saying tv guide is unavailable with above error code.
The code says about an aerial. But I wish to connect via internet. I’ve tried retune channels but none available.
I’m confused. I’m probably doing something incredibly silly. Help please.
Thank you.

Yep - no reason for an aerial-connected box to not work (even if totally offline).
You'll see the apps and design of the menus change when your EE Broadband is activated, and the IP channels will also become available. I strongly recommend you factory reset your TV Boxes when broadband is enabled, as it'll give the best possible experience on them both.

Sorry I'm a bit confused. In the other thread you've mentioned that channel 4 quality isn't great, but in this thread you say you have no channels at all. Can you please confirm whether you've had any channels visible? Is this issue intermittent?

I have no channels available through the guide.
Ch4 is blurry when accessing it on demand. The blurriness is intermittent.
Thanks.

Your TV and broadband look like they were only activated today, so I cannot yet see any stats on your line. When did you set the TV Box up? If it was before the TV service was activated on it, then it won't currently be configured correctly. I recommend you factory reset it to get the best EE TV experience.

Hi Darren
I have just joined EE TV and Broadband got all equipment and trying to setup my main box pro with aerial tv my standard freeview TV picks up full signal and all channels but i plug into the box and absolutely nothing.
Can you receive channels through aerial before TV services are activated and before broadband is fitted broadband is due to go into Tuesday 12th

hI @Samsim821 i believe that without a working broadband connection you would not be able to accept the Youview and perhaps other terms and conditions on a new box during the setup process. If you currently have a broadband connection then I would expect you to be able to set the box up albeit for aerial viewing and some apps but not the full EETV service as that will require the EE broadband.

Thanks for the reply i am currently connected through the 4G Hybrid but limited functions i did manage to get the aerial working so can get majority of the freeview channels on my mate box now. Considering the two boxes i have now one down stairs and one up both running on the 4H Hybrid I have managed to watch things on Netflix and Now with no interruptions. So it's been ok so far i am under the assumption now the IPTV side of things not the apps will be activated with the installation of the Broadband connection.
Thanks for the reply. 👍
