Newish customer tv issues

I switched to Ee a couple of months ago and have got past the point of trying to sort out these issues myself, or hoping that they would resolve themselves, so seeking any help and advice.

The main issue is the picture quality on the mini box. It pixalates regularly and frankly is nowhere near the quality I had from the previous provider. The box also regular comers up with an error code and has to be powered off and back on, before I can watch it.

it is not a speed issue. The Netflix check says it is getting 266 mbps and no other devices have any issues with the wifi.

Also frustrated by the inability to record certain channels, including bbc1.
where are the music channels? I read that they are on one of the apps but have searched and searched. They are not available through the tv guide as we do not get our tv through an aerial but streamed.

starting to feel like I made a bad choice switching the tv to EE and we have stepped back in time.

If you are expecting to be able to record BBC1 (or indeed anything) this implies that you have a Box Pro. But this doesn’t pixelate? That would imply a faulty Box Mini, which you should get EETV to replace for you.

As for that ‘inability to record BBC1’ there are two solutions; switch to Aerial Mode (which I realise may involve you having to buy and install an aerial, and may not even be possible), or go along happily with the charade, in which you set a recording, and playback, if available, is from the iPlayer, which you watch as if it were a recording you had made 😛

As regards music channels, this is something that EETV is curiously lacking in; but again, I suspect being in IP Mode is cutting you off even from those otherwise available on Freeview. But if you get a separate subscription to Spotify, you will be able to access more music than you can shake a stick at.
