Netflix premium price discrepancy

Just upgraded Netflix to premium via Netflix where it clearly states the price as £6 extra per month. Got an email from EE confirming the change but states it's £7. Can this be sorted please?

I've checked the pricing history as far as I can, and it's always been £7 to upgrade from Standard to Premium.  I don't know why the Netflix app is showing any different for you, but I've raised it with the relevant team.

£7 is the correct price, and other prices will not be honoured I'm afraid.

I suspect you will need to go down the official complaint route as I suspect the CS guides will look at the official EE pricing  .

I believe the current published standard pricing for  EETV addons is shown as below. (image will require approval before it can be seen)

So whereas the difference in price if a customer took a Netflix Standard  (£12.99) or a Netflix Premium (£18.99) is £6 the price for upgrading from Netflix Standard when it is already included  as a component of a customer's EE TV package is £7.

If you have screenshots & emails confirming a lower price, some would argue that's grounds for complaint.

Much would depend what you hope to achieve from doing so, realistically a formal notice of "it's wrong, here's the correct price" from next month/2months time would be a fair outcome alongside an internal "we need to sort this" approach.

There is i notice an   * showing on the image against that price line and typically  at the bottom of the Netflix Change Plan  page .  It would be interesting to  know/see what the * notes that would normally be listed at the bottom of the page actually said. I suspect they could indicate that the price might be different depending upon the customer agreement with EETV.

I think I can see how this situation has developed if we look at the history of Netflix subscription pricing.

In February 2025 Netflix I beleve Netflix raised their subscription price levels .

Source BBC

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c98yrp0pyrjo

The increased raised the Netflix Premium monthly price by £1 to £18.99.

At that time the Netflix Standard monthly price increased by £2 to £12.99

so whereas prior to that price change Standard (no adds)  was £10.99 and Premium  was £17.99  a difference of £7.

After that price change in February 2025  Standard  became £12,99 and Premium became £18.99 a difference of £6.

Those prices are of course for normal standalone Netflix subscriptions whereas EE is charging for an upgrade from one Netflix package level to another when  the  initial package is a component of the TV package, It seems that upgrade cost to Premium  from Standard has been maintained at £7 despite Netflix  themselves considering that £6 would be normal if the subscriptions were standalone.

Interestingly, a Virgin Media customer paying to upgrade the inclusive Netflix with-ads, to the no-ads version, also gets the Netflix & "my Virgin Media" page quoting a £6 difference.
