I've had a BT YouView box for a couple of years, and it's been great, but the BT TV app has disappeared recently and it would appear that to use features like remote recording I would have to have a subscription - which is a big change.
Am I correct in this understanding, or is there some clever workaround?

Where has the BT app disappeared from?
Do you have BT Broadband or EE?

The BT TV app has been renamed to EE TV. If you had it installed before, it'll still be there with the new name. Otherwise, it's available in all the same app stores as before, but with the new name.

Thanks. Yes, but when I install, it seems to want a login. Maybe I had one with BT....

You don't need a log in to use the TV Guide, pair with your TV Box, or set recordings from it.
