I want to highlight channels which were working until the first week of November 2025 on EE TV box Pro in aerial mode. To be specific, the channels in question are 205 - 211 i.e. children's channels and 251 - 289 such as France 24 (255), Channelbox (271) and Gigs (284). Initially a message stating "VOD365 is currently unavailable , please try again later" appeared but after a few days that changed. Now if you try any of the channels in one of these two ranges you see a logo for the channel but the HbbTV stream never initiates.

It would be good if EE could make an official statement as to why these channels stopped working and whether they will ever be available in the future. They should also update the page that lists available channels in aerial mode at https://ee.co.uk/help/tv-sport/ee-tv-channel-guide.

I don't wish to be contentious but these channels were working until the first week of November 2025 on EE TV box Pro in aerial mode. HbbTV has never worked on YouView boxes, and there are no plans to add it.  The channels you mentioned had implemented a "Connected Red Button" service, which just launched their app on the YouView box.

VOD365 went into administration on Nov 14th 2025. Their app has been removed, and therefore all the channels that used it are no longer working.  I suspect they will disappear from the TV Guide completely when/if the company fails to recover.

As per my response on your other thread, HbbTV has never been implemented on YouView boxes.  Some channels implemented the "Connected Red Button" service on YouView, which launches their YouView app - this obviously only works for providers who have created and launched an app for YouView boxes.

VOD365 entered administration last year, which is why their channels have stopped working.

Hi,

Thanks for your detailed reply - perhaps you could ensure that your support agents in Newcastle are made aware of this, When I logged a call about these channels, they were unaware to the extent that we went through 45 minutes of debugging which ,when unsuccessful, resulted in an Engineer being sent and ultimately a replacement Pro box being sent to me to see if that made any difference, which it obviously didn't. This was unnecesary expenditure for EE which some information dissemination would have avoided.

I still make the point that EE should not be advertising the availability of channels on  https://ee.co.uk/help/tv-sport/ee-tv-channel-guide when they cannot be received.

Sorry you didn't get the best experience with this.  The agents were notified of the removal of VOD 365, however they clearly didn't connect it with your symptoms. I'll ask the team if there's anything better we could have done to help them understand the connection.

Regarding the web site - Freeview channels change constantly, and differ by region and aerial, so I don't personally think that list should be on there at all. It's not my decision though.  I'll ask someone to review it.

Darren,

Thanks, if people were told about the demise of VOD365 it really didn't get through. I spoke to three different support agents and two of those spoke to their next level of support, none of them associated the channels stopping working with that.

For the record, I've emailed Sysnapsetv, who provide the bulk of these channels, as well as Channelbox to ask if they have any plans in place to replace VOD365. It's interesting to note that support for YouView is explicitly stated on the https://synapsetv.com/ home page!

I'll update the thread if I get a response.
