I have recently swapped over from BT broadband to EE. I was also a BT TV customer and have retained the Sports package with EE. It's been ages since my BT Pro box broke down and I just removed it from my setup and have it in storage for the day BT eventually ask for its return. As I'm now an EE TV customer is it possible to have a new EE TV box added onto my account so I can go back to recording my favourite content or am I to remain stuck with a non functioning BT Pro box?
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

You should be able to request a faulty equipment replacement by contacting EE customer services.
You would usually have been given the option of what TV Box you wanted as part of your move across, but it's possible there was an assumption that if you still wanted recordable TV you would keep your existing BT TV Box Pro (as it is more or less identical to the EE TV Box Pro and policy is to maintain the same equipment) and it was likely assumed that it was still functional.
You would have been able to get this replaced with BT also if you had got in touch about it at the time, instead of having to stop using it.
