From EE TV back to BT TV again!

Just got an email saying my EE TV service is being rebranded back to BT TV again. Feels not that long ago that it went the other way! At least it will match the BT button on the box and remote again. Very strange though!

I reckon that's a good call. BT is such a long established and trusted brand. Looking forward to what's coming in TV!

Glad I’m not the only person who gets the creeps from Bacon - what a strange role model to choose to front an ad campaign.

Regarding the theme of this post, I wish this had happened a lot earlier - I was a v.happy BT BB customer who was forced to go to EE so I could take a TV package.

I have very little affection for EE even though they have provided a first class product for the last 18 months. Big up to the new CEO for recognising the affection a lot of folk have for good old BT!

Hope the billing systems can cope.  i’ve had issues with EETV overcharging since I  was moved from BTTV with my broadband.

.... until the CEO changes again, or the board have another change of mind!!

It's been a nightmare (ok, overly dramatic) whenever I've needed to phone BT / EE, getting shunted around because of the 'faux split' between BT and EE.  "oh, I can't see that part of the system" or "I can't see what you can see online" etc etc.

After this latest about turn, I'll still have my phones with EE .... because I was 'encouraged' to move them over from BT!!

It's such a waste of time, money and resources, for both the company and for customers. Of course nothing stays the same for ever, but all this too-ing and fro-ing has been unnecessary and a right pain (and continues to be) for a lot of customers.

I’m surprised no one has suggested a rebrand to BTEE😂

That approach poses some interesting questions.

So will EE absorb ALL the costs of the EETV service on Apple TV devices as it is not currently intending to offer it to other companies in the BT Group.

As this would have be planned well ahead of implementation why withdraw the Big Entertainment package on BTTV ..  that was a simple and  easily understood package that existing customers would have.

Will there be different BT Group Product managers for the  EETV and BTTV brands going forward ?

Darren, will customers moved from BT BB to EE BB in order to get the TV service, be offered the chance to move back to BT BB, or will they have to wait for their EE contract to end and then re-contract with BT for BT TV?

Will these "new things" also be available on EETV?

I don't know for sure @--SRB-- however I doubt it'll be offered as standard.  Bear in mind that it'd be a lot of effort, just to change a few colours and logos?
