Have just joined EE . Prior to joining was told that TV Freeview Channels were available via Broadband . After installation found this was not the case. Many channels were missing and none of Freeview TV Channels via Internet were available at all. Thought this was due lack Terestial TV arial so had one fitted and sure enough all the missing channels appeared in the EE TV box programme including internet based, BUT the vast majority of the Internet channel's will not display. Only one that will is Talk TV. Can anyone advisd

You're right @Oldvalues . It's actually just a 5 minute job, but we're intentionally trying to disappoint you. 🙄

Well you won’t, because Freeview set a standard for such things, and you can’t put Freeview on your box unless you have had it certified by Freeview, and it won’t be certified if it can’t show those channels.
While good old YouView continues to plough its lone non-Freeview furrow, with this just one of the things that means it will never get Freeview certification, something they don’t give a tinker’s cuss about 😢.
But maybe explains why YouView Retail withered and died, and certainly explains why FreeView Play is now the torchbearer for what YouView hoped to be, and never was.
Bitter? Me bitter? Yep, a pint please 😛

OK, who’s getting demob happy? 😛

Could certainly look like that
After all if a Freeview TV Box sourced of the likes of Amazon is quite capable of showing these channels it begs the question.
Why doesn't the latest EE TV Box appear to have this functionality ?
Or is it my lack of knowledge on how to correctly set this box up
Will ring EE Technical Support and ask them .
Perhaps they can give me a answer.

There's nothing technical support can do to help @Oldvalues - the EE TV boxes don't support those channels, and there are no current plans to. If you connect the TV aerial to your TV, you may find that supports them.

Nope, not lack of technical knowledge. I don’t get these channels, nobody does.
Run your box into a smart TV with the onward aerial connection, though, and these channels will each burst into life for you there, give you a chance to see what EETV box watchers are missing.
But please don’t ring EE Tech Support over this. They will probably take you seriously and waste hours chasing their tails, looking in vain for an answer for you 😛

Funny thing is I can get Talk TV on EE TV Box program channel 280. Which is one of the freeview internet channels.
Also GB News on channel 236 , which was not available on the EE only channels TV Box .
Yes I will speak to EE Technical Support.
Nothing ventured nothing gained eh ! !

The Manhattan TV Box which uses the TV output from the EE TV supports them .
My Stand alone old Hitachi TV Box and Arial supports them.
So can watch them
Only thing is that I have to irritatingly choose a different HDMI input source on the TV every Time I want to.switch from Say BT Sports to such as NHK World or Al Jazeera.

Yes, it’s outrageous that the Manhattan doesn’t carry BT Sport.
But then, neither does the EETV box, unless you spring for the Time Machine add-on 😛

Oh Dear do I hear the sound of hypersonic comforters reaching escape velocity.
