We've been using EETV on Apple TV 4K a week now. In the main I'm impressed - it's not as complete, nor easy as SkyQ but I'd guess it is better than Sky Stream, owing to the extra power of the Apple TV box.
However, I have a few feature requests/bugs and wonder how to pass them onto EETV?
- when pressing to go to Apple's own TV home screen, or anywhere out of EETV, the sound of the last channel continues to play for some considerable time. This must be an issue with the app as no other app has the same behaviour
- the lag when changing channels using the up and down buttons is really slow
- my partner complained that there are just too many steps to input a channel number. I agree. I never thought I'd say this, but for when watching live TV the remote really needs numbers. For the moment, pressing and holding the play button while watching Live TV, to access the keypad, would be an improvement over having to go into the guide and selecting numberpad after pressing Play/Pause.
- I'd like to be able to mandate the guide to only show my favourite channels. It's a nuisance to have to select them every time from the guide screen rather than it being the default - I don't want all the non HD channels showing up every time I'm scrolling
But in the main, I like it. Great to only have the one box, to be able to watch Live TV (even if the access to channels is made harder). Looking forward to UHD.
