EE tv app on Apple TV can’t change date back only forward?

When using EE tv app on iPhone you can go backwards or forwards from today. Using the EE app on Apple TV box can only change date forwards. Makes it difficult to find missed programs and access them via catch up?

is there a way to go back ?

It was a design decision by YouView (they design the EE TV app on Apple TV) to not include the backwards TV guide.

You have the "TV Shows" main menu to show the popular TV shows. The search in the EE TV app also searches all the on demand apps, so no need to search them directly.

Nope, it's one of the limitations of the app on the EE Apple TV. Who knows if it will happen, you won't know till it does with EE.

I would advise if you know your trying to find a show or film and the channel has an on demand app, use their app.

The man who pays the piper (and I remember when BT was the piper) doesn’t call the tune?

That's what happens when your hands are tied to another company I guess.

I bet that's why EE were not allowed to add links to Iplayer channels etc (like Google chromecasts do now and even apple TV links direct to some news channel streams) due to a conflict of interest between youview and Freely.

We always thought that the IP in IP Mode was ‘Internet Protocal’.

YouView seem to have accurately discerned that it means ‘Intellectual Property’, and EE just have to suck it up.
