EE and Sky TV in same house?

Is it possible to have EETV and Sky supplied in the same house?

We've recently switched to EETV and I'm happy with it but my elderly father is missing channels that were available on Sky to him as well as struggling with the TV guide.

We were contemplating just getting him Sky for his living room but not sure if it's possible.

Yes - there's nothing to stop you buying Sky Stream and using it on your EE broadband.

I've got a sly stream and EE tv in my house, but I'm a bit of a tech geek as my other half tells me 😂

Make sure that the channels he wants are on the version of Sky you get - Stream mentioned here doesn't have all of the satellite channels. However, either satellite (Sky Q) or Sky Stream will work with EE - I've just moved my broadband and phone to EE whilst keeping Sky Q.

As already mentioned, Sky Stream and Glass can be used with any broadband provider, but much like EE TV in IP mode, channels you expect to be there are not.

The one that catches out many older viewers is Talking Pictures which isn’t on any of these internet delivered services, only Freeview, satellite or the web.

You can find the full list of what is not available on Sky Stream and Glass here: https://www.sky.com/help/articles/tv-channel-list-sky-glass#not-available
