EE TV

I recently started using the EE TV box, but it has a very annoying feature in that it automatically starts playing content. I think the last live TV channel that was played (I don't tend to watch live TV, so I'm guessing it defaulted to BBC1). Does anyone know how to turn this feature off? I prefer to have silence before I decide what to watch, or between watching sessions where the TV is just idling.

It's not possible to turn this off.  The best you could do is leave the TV Box tuned to a channel that you don't have a subscription to.

@KatD1  Try before turning it off open the EPG.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

Thanks Darren. A shame that's not possible. And unfortunately, I find it so annoying I might just have to go back to my firestick.

Hi Chris this didn’t help.  Whatever app you are using, I.e.Netflix, once you turn off your set using the EE remote, then turn on again using the EE remote, it automatically always starts playing one of the liveTV channels.

I am particularly concerned because I have cancelled my TV licence and don’t want to be accused of watching live TV.

Thanks anyway

Why have you got an aerial plugged in?
