Hi all,
My mum is gutted about Eurosport being taken off Sky tv, my contract with them is up in May, I realise Sky offer their Sky stream service, but to be honest… it’s just too expensive in my view.
im really considering about moving to EE TV, the only downside for mum is QVC isn’t on the tv channels list (want to ditch the aerial connection) but I remembered this can be watched via YouTube or app on Apple TV, so no big deal.
That being said, can anybody help/suggest whether I should go with the mini box or pro box, I get about the recordings etc, but my mum mainly wants the TNT Sports… so some questions here.
1) on the pro box, can you record TNT programmes?
2) if I went with the Mini box with no record function, can you watch TNT snooker matches for example on some sort of demand service on TNT via the EE box? That confuses me.
3) Finally, currently my mum uses Sky go on her phone. What’s the EE equivalent? Would I sign in to the EE app on her phone or the now tv app? How would she be able to watch something collectively rather than installing ever single separate channel/player app… itv bbc etc. Any help appreciated.

My answer re the snooker catch up referred to the Discovery+ app. A little is available via the EE mobile app, but from a quick glance only a bit. The Discovery+ app is very comprehensive and is available on the EE Pro TV box, the Apple TV box, and most mobiles.

The sky stream OS might look nice but can be clunky and slow at times when it takes a brain freeze, but the EE interface is much more reliable.
The playlist feature on sky stream is a watchlist for EE that you can add to from the apps. You can search for shows and films using the search feature on EE pro and mini devices.
There are more free to air channels on Sky stream compared to EE currently but I've been living in hope for 3 years that this may change.
In terms of the app question yes that's right and you can also use the discovery plus app to watch your TNT content.
Itvx or stv app depending on your location will need to be used for this morning.
If you group together all the TV apps in their own folder or in one part of your phone/tablet there shouldn't be an issue .
As I say things could change for the better but you wont hear about it until it's live.

Interesting! Regarding Discovery plus app… would I need to sign up to that separately though? Or can I still sign into it with what I get subscription wise through EE?

It is included in the TNT Sports subscription via EE [and to be fair via Sky as well].

If you take out a package that includes sports channels Discovery plus with sports is included in the cost.
For those with entertainment channels they get Discovery plus basic included in the cost.

Eurosport is gone from EETV now also. Folded into TNT…
