EE TV Mini Box Issue IPC6023

Keith_O

Hi, I installed a new EE TV mini box in my master bedroom a few days ago. Everything appeared to be fine but then I started getting this IPC6023 error on every channel and happens between 5 &10 minutes each time. I've restarted the box numerous times, reset back to factory and set back up again but no dice! Any help would be much appreciated. Some context...my hub is connected by ethernet to another wireless router (as an extender) and the mini box is connected to the secondary "hub" as the master bedroom is a significant distance from the primary router as it's on the 2nd floor.

Thanks in advance

Getting some multicast, but then it breaking and giving IPC6023, indicates a multicast issue in your home, and third party equipment is often the culprit.

Is the other wireless router a BT or EE product? If not, it needs, at the least, correctly configuring for multicast, if this is possible with it. For instance, have you got IGMP Snooping turned on?

First satisfy yourself that the Box Mini is OK by turning off the extender router, and using the Box Mini nearer the EETV router, perhaps, for test purposes, swapping it with your primary device for this purpose. (And if it still isn’t OK, you can talk to EETV secure in the knowledge that it ought to work in that location).

Secondly, consider perhaps PowerLine Adaptors to link the Box Mini back to the EETV router over the mains.

Or tell us the precise model of router you are using as an extender, and see if anybody here knows how to configure it to work with EETV multicast.
