EE TV - Entertainment TV packages post 26th March

Looking at todays  official media release from Warner Bros. Europe it says

A new NOW Entertainment & HBO Max (Basic with Ads) bundle will be available from March 26. Existing NOW Entertainment Members will be automatically switched to the Entertainment & HBO Max Membership. Basic with Ads will also be integrated into the NOW platform.

Does this apply to existing and new EETV packages that include Now entertainment membership  ?

I had a brief look at EETV package description  (billed by EE/BT) effective for new customers (and possibly foe existing customers renewing).

My impression is that the Discovery SD  320 and Discovery HD 325  linear channels accessed via the EETV EPG provided /available within EETV Packages (Entertainment/Big Entertainment/Full Works)  may no longer be included for new/renewed packages . Is this correct ?

That is correct @zulu17 - the discovery+ channels, and discovery+ app are no longer included in any packages for EE TV or EE Mobile, as of midnight last night.

After 2 unsuccessful attempts at getting help to activate my HBO Max account, I now have been to told wait a further 24 hours for account activation???

I feel like Im being palmed off now.

As per attached images, I am clicking on app through my EETV box, selecting activate from first image,  then second image appears with a QR code which I scan which takes me to an EE subscription/plan account telling me what plan I am on.

On scanning the QT code from third image, it takes me to the HBO page to login with my registered email account, only to find no account registered with that email address.

I dud try to create an account with HBO, but it was offering me plans to choose, but I already have plan wirh EE.

Please can somebody help me with this issue.

Rgds

@Phil_8049 email me at eetvsupport@ee.co.uk with your account details.

It has been a very long day, as I've been working since 4am on supporting this launch, so it'll be tomorrow morning before I can take a look I'm afraid.

I find the easiest thing to do is to login on a laptop / desktop first if you have one. Assuming you have a Discovery+ login from EE, then use exactly the same login for HBO Max on their website [hbomax.com].

Once that works, keep that open and go to hbomax.com/signin [as per your picture] and enter the six digit code, and the app on the EETV box should work fine.

Repeat for any other instance of the app you have and want to use, e.g. on your TV.

Evening again folks.

When you get the HBO email with its T&Cs, please give yourself a week to read through them 😵💫😵💫

Hopefully we get the Discovery channel back at some stage as I feel that the Entertainment packages are getting worse now rather than better.

Sure we just got HBO Max but we gain something then we loose something else.
