Looking at todays official media release from Warner Bros. Europe it says
A new NOW Entertainment & HBO Max (Basic with Ads) bundle will be available from March 26. Existing NOW Entertainment Members will be automatically switched to the Entertainment & HBO Max Membership. Basic with Ads will also be integrated into the NOW platform.
Does this apply to existing and new EETV packages that include Now entertainment membership ?

Re Discovery+, that link does say:
If you are an existing customer who bought before 26 March, you can retain access as part of your EE TV subscription at no extra cost.
If you joined after that date and want to subscribe to discovery+ entertainment content, you can subscribe by signing up in the discovery+ app, but this won't appear on your BT/EE bill.
Nothing re the Discovery channels in the EPG, but Discovery+ will no longer be included for new customers.

@Richardr66 you don't get the discovery channel on the EPG as part of a sports package anyway or the Now app access so its tailored specifically for sports customers

Assuming the HBO app on the pro boxes will be Atmos/4k capable will there be an upgrade path for the premium offering (as Sky have already communicated to its customers).

@scointer We will have to wait for the announcement from EE unfortunately.
Hopefully further details will be provided soon.

I believe thusfar EETV have provided either discovery+ "Entertainment" or discovery+ "TNT Sports &Entertainment " with their TV packages. discovery+ (UK) currently have 3 plans the discovery+ "Entertainment" which apparently according to them stays with discovery+ , and two plans discovery+ "TNT Sports" and discovery+ "TNT Sports&Entertainment" that they say moves to HBO Max on 26th March.
They (discovery+) also say
On 26/3, TNT Sports plans will move to HBO Max. Sign in with your discovery+ details. New terms of use apply.*
*HBO Max Terms of Use available here. Select discovery+ content only.
I think we need to await the full clarification from EE/BT as to what is occuring.
(sorry for allthe edits but browser/forum seems a little crazy this morning)

A change that is over 5 weeks away yet BT/EE are late to the party, plenty of time to say what's happening

Disney+
sky ultra bolt on
i would say BT/EE are late to the party …..
also it is ok saying the change is five weeks away but for people looking now where to sign up for 12 or 24 months they need info as early as possible and Sky have been able to get all the info out for their packages so why do EETV have to wait so much longer.

Are we any closer to getting answers to my original question please ?

Closer, but not quite there yet - it turns out a few things hadn't been agreed. We're currently resellers of Now TV, and also resellers of discovery+ (including TNT Sports) - 2 separate packages from different companies. As of March 26th, Now TV will have a partnership with HBO Max, and also TNT Sports is moving to HBO Max - 2 different contracts both ending up in the same place.
We have to wait for everything to be signed off by all interested parties before comms can be issued, to keep confusion to the minimum. Current expectation is early next week.
What is already known/announced:
