Duplicate recordings in HD & SD

Hello all. New to EE TV Pro box. 

When I  schedule a recording, it ends up recording the HD and the SD version of same program.

So i end up with two recordings of the same program. 

For example, it recorded SD & HD versions of White Lotus. I went to the SD version of Sky Atlantic and cancelled the SD scheduled version for last night, kept the series record on the HD channel, but this morning there was two copies-SD and HD. It’s doing this with a few programs (but not all which makes me believe I’m doing something wrong)

Any advice?

Compare the two versions for starting and ending point. If the Box thinks the HD version is incomplete for any reason, it will record the SD version to ensure you have a complete version,
