Obviously they can't just make it work themselves and they would need to work with the app owners to get it to work.
I don't think it's impossible that it will never happen though.

The same happened to me. I was told they would contact sky but it turns out it’s only for internet. I’m gutted because we use YouTube and Disney plus a lot for our two girls and now can’t access either of them.

@Soph47 look at the other thread posted yesterday for YouTube https://community.ee.co.uk/t5/TV/YouTube-Casting-seems-to-be-Available-on-our-BT-Pro-Boxes/td-p/1402...

So you can add the Apple+ app to EETV and you can link Disney to the Apple TV account. Would that work I wonder??

@Oldskool101 Disney+ can not be added to the Apple+ TV app on EE TV. The reason it works on an Apple TV this way is because the Disney+ app is installed on the Apple TV.

You can’t add any apps to the Pro box, nor delete any off it; only EE/BT/YouView can do that.
But Disney has been added to the Pro box since this thread started, so it’s there now.
You can add Disney to the EE Apple TV box, though you will probably find it is there already. But there you can delete it, if you wished to.
But what you can’t do is add it to the EE TV app on this box - a subtle difference.

@Midnight_Voice You say
”But Disney has been added to the Pro box since this thread started, so it’s there now.”.
Has it ? I know YouTube got added but not Disney+ I’ve not look at my pro box to confirm this yet.

Oh dear, yes you are quite right. It’s YouTube that has been added, but not Disney 😢
Apologies, everyone.

Same has happened to me. I specifically asked does it have Disney plus and was told yes. My box arrived today and its not there.
