Changing tv package

Hi all,

When looking at changing my tv package via the app or online, I get the message ‘ you will be able to do this soon via the app, for now ring this number’.

Any idea when this will be available like it was with BT tv?

Should I dare ask when will ultraboost arrive….?

thanks

Rich

@Midnight_Voice  in theory  you should be able to manage any extras (addons) to your TV package independently  of the flexing rules for your TV package  . Not always that simple in practice  as sometimes any open orders  might inhibit further orders

Based upon their published price plans EETV  do seem to be changing  their approach to HD addons in new TV packages,. We already  seen changes announced wrt the inclusion of HD in thr sport based packages and the February  price plan does imply  changes to the Entertainment ones. These changes currently  seem only to affect new EeTV packages on EE broadband  and not apply to those on BT broadband. . Tidying up the HD addons  if that is what it is possibly  makes it simpler  for them to consider  (pure speculation here but we keep being told it is coming)  including  an upgrade addon from  Now Boost to Now Ultra Boost  etc.

As for Apple  TV  I think EE have made different promotions over time so for example EE customers may have opted for a promotion  related to their  mobile contract   their broadband service or their EETV service. My only experience  was taking it due to my mobile contract.

Good luck in unravelling  it all.

@zulu17

It’s a nonsense.

I have the Entertainment package, say, and I want Cinema, so I add the Extra, Now Cinema, to my package - and suddenly I’ve flexed myself up to Big Entertainment.

So did I add an Extra (doesn’t extend my contract) or did I flex my package? Which, as described above, appears to have EETV Guides extending relevant contracts.

Something is wrong here, and EETV need to sort it out.

*Longtime YouView box owner & broadband customer (was BT now EE), but only recently a full EETV subscriber*

My understanding is neither Flexing main package nor charging add ons should need a new contract, both possible within Ts & Cs without new comtract.

in terms of how to change, get same message in app about calling to change but when I log onto website I do get the option of selecting different package so Flexing in addition to add ons, so assume I could change their without new contract?
