Hi all,
I've just subscribed to EE TV, which should be all set up tomorrow. My question is with regards to previous purchases with BT TV.
I was a long time BT TV customer and had built up quite a number of purchases. Was wondering if these should be available to me on the EE TV app, and on the EE TV Box when set up?
Currently when looking at the EE TV app, the purchases section is blank, the e-mail address i use to log in is the same as when i was with BT.
Hope someone can help, and let me know if it is possible to retrieve the purchases
Thanks

I don’t know personally, but this thread is a similar question and was answered by a BT/EE TV guru: https://community.ee.co.uk/t5/TV/Transferred-from-BT-to-EE/m-p/1414681
This may be the critical bit:
…it's not possible to watch purchases in the EE TV app on any model of TV Box, or from Apple TV.You have the choice of: Android or iOS mobile or tablet, Chromecast, Samsung TV, Amazon Fire Stick, or on a Windows PC (via https://player.ee.co.uk/)
But I have to admit I find it confusing.
I think it means you can only view purchases made whilst with BT on the EE TV app on certain devices and not the TV Box Pro, once you have moved to EE.
Hopefully someone can clarify as it all seems a bit convoluted.

Hi there @DPW1982
Thanks for coming to the community.
Could you check again once your service has gone live tomorrow to see if they show in the EE app and let me know?
Thanks.
Leanne.

hi @Profile closed the scenario that you have quoted responses from is where a previous customer no longer has an active EETV package. As such that customer was advised how to access their previous purchases. (and as a non customer what they wouldn't have access to on the box EETV player0.
Here @DPW1982 is moving across from BT broadband (EE TV) to EE broadband with an EETV package. So their purchases should be available via the EE TV app including the EETV box after (or possibly after a day of the activation of their TV service becoming active).

Thanks
Just to be clear i left BT Broadband and TV and joined Sky Stream, and am now moving to EE from Sky after a painful few years with Sky Stream.
Was hoping my BT purchases would be available, but will wait and see when i set up tomorrow

@DPW1982 if EE regard you as a new rather than a returning customer that could a problem. See what occurs and post back.

Hi all, ended up getting the boxes set up yesterday evening in the end as time allowed. Yes it seems i cannot access any of my previous purchases, presumbaly as i'm now seen as a new customer.
Not sure if it's possible to transfer my previous BT Purchases over, but would be hugely helpful if i could, so any help would be much appreciated.
I do remember my previous BT Customer #, so i'm not sure if this helps at all.
Thanks

If EE can’t link to your old BT TV (EETV purchases) and consider you as a new (different) customer then you should still be able to access those purchases
you would need to use your BT ID rather than your new EE ID.
