Hi

Second day of sound & vision for BBC One being out of sync when selected from TV guide - ALL other channels are absolutely fine. BBC One is ok on the iPlayer.

I have done everything suggested - sound sync, resets, restarts etc but no success yet.

I note someone has similar problem, mentioned on Twitter/X

HELP!!!!!!!!

Thanks

Welcome to the Community, @Groucho2.

Is it via IP or aerial that your box is connected?

If it's the former, is it a wired connection you're using as well?

I am an EETV subscriber using an Apple TV 4k box and I have experienced this same problem for some time - i.e. audio of BBC channels accessed via the guide are out of sync with picture. No other channels have this problem.

Good news: I have managed to get around the problem after a long process of trial and error by changing the Audio Track from "English" to "Surround - English". To access the audio track, simply press the up control button (the outer circle button) in your remote, and scroll to the far right and click the speaker icon. Select Surround - English and this should fix your problem.

This does feel like a big that EE need to fix but the above method seems to be a workaround in the interim.

@Hickster2024 this isn't something that EE can fix unfortunately - the audio sync is correct on the video content, which we just hand over to the Apple TV player.  I suspect the issue is related to specific combinations of hardware, and their settings. What is your setup? Do you have a surround sound system? Is surround sound enabled on your TV settings?

So are you saying that EE is not compatible with the basic setup of a Samsung TV?

Perhaps this needs to be a warning when you are selling the product, eg ** please be aware your TV may not be compatible with your EE box**

Anyway, this fixed itself after a couple of days, I assumed EE sorted, but now worried it wasnt.

Interesting. I was asked last week by a friend if I recommend the EE box - I advised to a certain extent but lots still missing (channels) + sound issues.

@Groucho2 my reply was to Hickster2024, which was specifically about Apple TV.  This isn't something that EE have any control over.

On an EE TV Box Pro or EE TV Box Edge, we have full control over everything, and faults can be investigated. I'm not aware of any issues with TVs, but some soundbars have caused problems when connected in specific configurations.

Thanks Darren for clarifying - makes sense.

We use the TV Box Pro & generally are ok with it. Sometimes it can be frustrating but we live with it.
