BBC1 Sound an vision out of sync - Day 2

Hi

Second day of sound & vision for BBC One being out of sync when selected from TV guide - ALL other channels are absolutely fine. BBC One is ok on the iPlayer. 

I have done everything suggested - sound sync, resets, restarts etc but no success yet.

I note someone has similar problem, mentioned on Twitter/X

@TONYY37 @ShaunFender our content team have been unable to replicate the issue - the audio appears to be in sync.  Is it affecting all programmes on BBC One?

Bbc1 still out of sync. BBC2 is on

Having the same issues as Tony with BBC1. All other channels are ok!

It obviously isn't the tv as it has been fine since we joined EE back in January. Only went wrong last week. It's got so bad on bbc1 it's at a point of being unwatchable.

3 questions please Tony:

1. Do you use a soundbar/sound system, or does the sound come directly out of your TV?

2. Does it affect all programmes on BBC One?

3. Can you please try turning on Audio Description (using the button with the 3 lines on it, top right of the remote) for a few minutes and see if you have the same issue.

Hi Darren,

No sound bar, yes, all programmes on bbc1.

I've done the audio description fix and it is much improved.

Do I leave that set to on now?

I think it would become an annoyance if left on during some shows, as the voiceover can be distracting.

Next test: can you go into the TV Box settings, select Picture & Sound, HDMI Sound, and change it to Stereo instead of Surround.

Hi, ok, checked settings and it's already set to stereo.

OK, interesting.  What happens if you set it to surround?  Does it fix the issue? Or do you just get no audio at all?
