I have recently moved from BT to EE for broadband, TV and Phones and have a new Hub and set top box. I wish to take advantage of the Apple TV 6 months FREE offer. However when I select Apple TV it shows a charge of £8.99 per month and when I go to checkout it seems to indicate I will be charged every month form the start. although the initial charge is zero. Before I checkout I would like confirmation that Apple TV will be free for 6 months please.
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

A very helpful guide found a solution and that was to end my newly taken out contract, that was just within the 14 days, restart a new contract then a new trial code could be sent and used ! They did this with my broadband but made a mistake and didn’t end/restart my tv package , so no new start date and no new code for tv !
I have raised this on a complaint but they just ignored this simple fact to resolve the issue !! I have two different start end dates with my package 🤷♀️🤷♀️….. it’s like banging your head against a brick wall ! Oh and I’m still waiting for the useless sales guy to get a manager to call me back, that was 3 weeks ago !
I was just continually told there is no solution !! Useless 🤦♀️

Thanks for that - and totally agree with all you say. My last call to CS was some 40+ mins and ended in (another) deadlock.
Appalling all round - and should never have migrated from BT. Worse, not better, off 😡

I rue the day when I rang BT about my TV price hike. They dropped it but initiated the descent into the depths of despair- aka EE.
In hindsight I wish I’d just paid it. Would have had my simple 1 acc 1 app 1 bill BT service for a bit longer.
I cannot understand why these “activate offer” routines cause so many issues; and why processes require so many keying stages which overworked or undertrained staff seem to get wrong. Or is it the system design? Who knows.
You’d think the Executive might be concerned about this ⬇️🤷🏼
EE Fibre 900 via SH+ with 2 Extenders, EE TV Pro & Mini boxes, 2 EE SIM's only, all originally BT.
LG Oled, Denon/Cambridge Audio 7.1, Panasonic 4K player, Apple TV 4K
