Did you mean:

EE TV remote - why?

So, having been using BT YouView for 9 years, I've switched to EE TV, and I have to admit the new remote is rubbish. It's dumbed down, and the three most useful buttons have vanished; the delete button is gone, so you have to select record to get to a sub-menu where you can then delete your recording, one at a time.

But the most used pair of buttons have also gone - the two buttons where you jump forward by a minute/reverse at 15 seconds every press of the button. I know can do the on the EE remote by holding the fast forward/rewind buttons down, but that's nowhere near as easy as having dedicated buttons.

Why? What's the obsession with eliminating buttons? This was clearly designed by idiots who don't actually use the device they've designed.

Hi @farmersboy

to be fair to EETV the actual remote for the Box Pro  with its reduced range of buttons was introduced by BTTV when the box was first launched.

EETV would have been involved in subsequent decision taking and acceptance of changes to the user interface , home pages and how the remote buttons are used.

The earlier BT and Humax remotes supplied with previous generation Youview boxes will  control the Box Pro if in line of sight so if you still do have one you could use it instead.

I still have my old remote so I'll give it a go. This new one is bobbins, I hate it when they dumb stuff down.
