Apple TV 6 month free offer

PaulH43
Explorer

I have recently moved from BT to EE for broadband, TV and Phones and have a new Hub and set top box.  I wish to take advantage of the Apple TV 6 months FREE offer.  However when I select Apple TV it shows a charge of £8.99 per month and when I go to checkout it seems to indicate I will be charged every month form the start.  although the initial charge is zero.  Before I checkout I would like confirmation that Apple TV will be free for 6 months please.

Hi @PaulH43,

Welcome to the EE Community

You will qualify for 6 months free Apple TV+ as a new EETV customer, just for clarification how is it you are setting it up? it should be a case of logging into the EE app, going to Manage TV and Sport then adding the Apple TV+.

You should then be able to activate it via the app or by a link sent out by text. As long as you are activating it this way you will get the 6 months free offer through ourselves which will then revert to £8.99 after the 6 months if you decide to keep it.

Merry Christmas 🎅

@PaulH43

Can’t speak to the EE process, as I did my free Apple TV+ offer ages ago (via another source). I’m sure that - like all such offers - I had to log a payment method before the free trial commenced. I did get the free period before payments started.

@PaulH43 @Minkey1

You don’t have to log a payment method with this offer. EETV is already your payment method.

But you do have to authorise the monthly payment up front, for the continuing situation after the free period ends,

Thank you
Thank you> Your advice worked fine and I have Apple TV free for 6 months.
Happy New Year
Thanks. I did have to log a payment method with EE but obtained Apple TV
free for 6 months.

Hi @Wind001

Welcome to the community.

What happens when you try to select the Activate on apple.com?

Does the same thing happen when you log in to your account through the EE website?

What have our team said when you have spoken with them?

The same message, the team tried to activate but failed as said cannot resend activation email, never received one , even set up a new account to then be able to send email activation, that didn’t work either . They now say not entitled to offer but it shows all the time on my profile, discovery + Basic not activating either , all these ads and promises on what I can get with EE  yet you cannot deliver !
