Adding eetv to 1.6

Hi all, currently back (I was a former bt customer)

I have 1.6gbps, got rid of sky stream due to a very annoying software bug.

Tried to add EE TV but seemingly the call centre say I can't add it after phoning up.

How can I get this added? I know it originally can't be done but I know recently it's been enabled and now you can.

Thanks in advance

Got to the bottom of it. I'm on a 12 month contract with a deal. This prevents adding it.

To add TV, I have to re-contract to 24 months. This isn't an issue. The issue now is broadband jumps to £80 a month alone and I can't regrade mid contract so, they are looking to try and keep it at £50 a month or close to it.

Going to let me know within the next 3 working days.

So we can mark as resolved and perhaps the online portals should add a comment as such to let the end user know of this limitation.

All three agents have been spot on with service so well done to them.

Sorry that you didn't get the best experience with the call centre.  I can only suggest that you call again, as it is now possible to order EE TV on 1.6Gbps broadband. I can only guess you spoke to an agent who hasn't been informed.

I'd like to say both agents I spoke to were very pleasant and lovely to deal with.

Do you know if all agents / call centres should be aware of it?

It was "ring fenced" for a while (only agents in one specific team), but that was months ago. I've not heard updates for a while, but we've switched to the new ordering system for new accounts now (previously ONLY used for 1.6Gbps accounts), so I would assume that means it's fully up to speed.

I'll try again then.

Thankyou.

Thanks for the update @biohazardx9 - very useful information in case anyone has this issue in future.  That's a great offer you managed to get on the broadband!

It was! EE did like a lightning deal, initially went 12 month to see how service was. It's fine vs Vodafone who had strange routing issues.
