Hi there.
I bought a new phone with EE (IPhone 16) and it came 5 days ago. I requested for my old number to be transferred over and sent the PAC code when I bought the phone. After a couple of days of not having the number transferred, I contacted EE from my new phone using the 150 number where I was assured my number would be transferred by Monday (9.12.24). Monday came and I woke up to no transfer but worse than that, my EE number that came with the SIM no longer works. I cannot text, call or use mobile data. If someone texts the EE number, it comes through but I cannot respond. However, when I log into my EE account, it is my old number that I asked to be transferred that is linked to the account online. On my actual phone however still says it’s the EE number. I have tried to call the EE number from a landline but when I leave work, it claims the number is closed. I work in a school from 8am-6pm so I don’t know how to contact EE otherwise. I cannot call any number on this phone to call the 150 again. The live chat on the app does not move past the “personal user” response. I’m absolutely at my witts end and if you’ve made it to the end of this rant, I thank you for your time. Any help anyone can give me, I would be very appreciative!

@CaitRei Have you restarted the device since the change over ?
You also need to switch off iMessage and FaceTime and restart the device then check the number in settings/apps/phone if it now shows the correct number you can enable iMessage and FaceTime again.

Hi! Thanks for your reply!
I had a look at other forums and they all said that so I tried it a million times and it still doesn’t work. The new number is there. My old number still comes up for FaceTime and iMessage. I can send IMessages fine and it comes up its from my old number but that’s only if I’m connected to WiFi.

Facetime & iMessage are Apple-proprietry platforms and have specific device-level config outside EE's control.
Can you receive calls made to your ported-in number? If you make a call, does your ported-in number show?
How about sending & receiving text messages?

Hi!
I really appreciate your reply!
I can receive texts and calls to the ported number but I can’t text anyone or call anyone. The texts will say “text failed” and the calls for any number say “you have dialled an incorrect number” which I know isn’t the case.

Hi @CaitRei Would you mind trying a restart of your phone today, then check if you can make a call please?
It's possible that yesterday may have been the date of your number port, as that may have been the reason for your network disruption.
