scam text message re bill

Just had a text saying unable to process my bill I’m assuming it’s a scam  As bill already been taken!!! Not clicking on that link

Hi my husband has received one of theses texts, but he's not with EE. Should we forward it to you, or contact  his service provider?

@Ros1954   Just forwarded the message to 7726.  

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

@Ros1954 : By forwarding it to 7726 it is auto sent to his own network provider, who will acknowledge it.

I also received this scam email but my question is how do they know I’m with EE???

Hi Carrie thanks for your message.my concern was how do they know we have an ee account.the same thing has happened when I ordered something off Amazon,not long after I received similar emails,so looks as if they can see my online activities???what do you think?
