Yes had mine also today, I guess they send out 1000s on the same day. Usually look at the web address at the top, it may say " EE.back-tinywilly.grow "  or something silly as a give away.

IMPORTANT

If by accident, which I did a couple of weeks back when I got the same text early in the morning whilst still in bed & tired, I clicked on the link and used my email & password, which I guess lots of EE customers did, I soon realised my error,

1. I quickly rebooted my phone, in case software might be coming down that steals future info.

2. Logged onto real EE and changed my password to an even stronger one, as they have software that can learn how our passwords go by seeing one we did. Family names & numbers like 12 or 09  so make one MmaaArY6_0nt  write it down backwards to remember it.  By the way that was Mary whose 60 for those that still like to use family names ect.  (That was an example don't use it )  imagine everyone having MmaaArY6_0nt as their password ha ha .. keep your passwords safe. 😁

I had a scam text too apparently from EE using the above numbers.

I have now blocked these nulbers.

Sorry! Numbers not nulbers - but receiving them did worry me how they got my mobile number and it make me cross!

Hi there @SimonBlackmore

Thanks for coming to the community.

If you still have the message can you forward this to 7726 so we can get this message looked into.

These messages can be very convincing and look or sound like genuine messages sent by organisations you already deal with and may even appear within an existing message string from a known organisation.

Thanks 🙂

Leanne.

@SimonBlackmore : Waste of time blocking those nos. The scammers make them up as they go along. It's the link in the msg that's the real giveaway.

Seem silly now but am I at risk of anything happing to my account? I’ve since changed my passwords and checked my bill and everything seems ok?

thanks

Hi @Rjs3

Welcome to the community. 🙂

You've followed the advice we'd normally give by changing the passwords. If it's also a password that you use for banking or anything else important, I'd recommend changing those too.
