Both me and my wife keep getting emails or text messages purporting to be Bt or EE. The latest is below. When do we know when such communications are legitimate?

I would suggest it is a scam as BT would not use a personal email address.

@Bucklesham20 : How did they ask you to confirm your acceptance? Does it have a link in it that it tells you to click? Don't go there but what was the link?
