Spoofing? Missed calls from myself

My own number is appearing in my missed call list. If I called myself it would appear as an outgoing call. I have had multiple missed calls from my number in the last few days. None have actually rang so must only last a fraction of a second. 
Is this some weird version of spoofing?

Welcome to the community.

That sounds really unusual, I'm not sure why that's happening. If it were someone spoofing your number to call you, I'd expect that it would come through as an incoming call and ring.

What kind of phone are you using?

Me too several calls 10 minutes apart showing as my home phone # calling my home phone #. 
how can anyone pretend to be calling me from my own number ? Are they calling others as well pretending tobe me ??

The concerns for me are not whether it rings or not. It is all about how someone can pretend to be calling from my number, and who else are they calling,  and will I be charged for these calls if they are picked up ? What are EE or BT doing to prevent this happening ?

I'm not sure what could be causing this to happen. 

Does the phone ring on your side when these calls are being made?

Have you received any charges in the past?

It may be best reporting this to our customer care team who can look into your account further.
