scam calls from supposed EE

Hi Had a call from what appeared to be EE yesterday. Tyhey wetre offering to reduce my monthly plan by almost half and also to send me a free watch. I told them I thought this was a scam but was assured it was not . They asked me for my email address so they could send me the details . I played along and was sent an email with a header that looked just like EE but had the heading EE promotions . The person rang me back to confirm i had received it and again I played along as something did not feel right. They asked if i was happy with the deal and so i said i was and then they started asking me all sorts of questions about  my age birthday if i was married and that they would need my bank details to apply the offer too. At this stage i knew it was a scam. I have an EE account and so you already have my bank details . Why would they want to know If I was married and my date of birth. I told them this was a scam and would be reporting them . I also had made a note of the numbers they called me on . They are 01604 230369 and 07953 966250. Beware.

Welcome to the community.

07953 966250 is a verified EE number. You're right to be careful and sceptical. If something doesn't feel right, give us a call on 150 and if the offer is legitimate, it will be noted on your account that we contacted you.

Had a call saying EE from a Dover number 01304 201061. Another scam going about.

If you get a call from a number not listed, please text CALL followed by the number to 7726 and our security team will get this looked into.
