Scam Indian Call Centres saying they are from EE

Just a heads up been getting quite a few fraudulent nuisance calls, from Indian call centres where the agent gives an English name, of late pretending to be from EE

The phone numbers appear to originate from here in the UK (01/02 numbers come up on your phone).  When digging into these numbers further they have been flagged as scams claiming to be from EE and other phone providers.

Be on the look out and careful what you give them, block the calls in your phone but they rotate the numbers and try again. They are persistent little x*****

You can report these phone numbers by texting 7726 with CALL [Their Phone Number]

Hi @JustinUK

Thanks for sharing and helping other customers.

You can view numbers our partners will call from on the What numbers will EE partners call from? Help page.

Thanks 🙂

Good to know but just so you're aware caller ID’s can be spoofed to make the call appear to come from someone else if you know what you are doing.

Thanks getting bombarded at the moment so reporting them to 7726. Hope someone is picking up on them at EE. Here's an example of one who called me at 11:41 today - https://who-called.co.uk/Number/02475424803

Just had a call from 02030265071, Indian sounding guy, stating he was from EE and I was due an upgrade.

I am nowhere near due an upgrade, so got to assume scam.

Will stand corrected if someone from EE can confirm it is a genuine call, but if genuine then clearly they don't know when their customers are due an upgrade.

Hi @The-Teacher,

Welcome to the EE Community. 🙂

I can confirm that isn't a genuine EE number.

I was in undated with calls from this one last weekend!

Offering to reduce the price of my service to £7.50. I wasted half the day trying to speak to someone at EE. You are told to ring 150 and then 1 to speak to someone. That tells you they will send a message to get you to someone quicker - but when you follow the link it goes straight to 150 so you go round in circles.

There’s a £7.50 sim only deal available with EE. I got it. 7Gb data unlimited calls and texts.
