Mobile number being spoofed

AN82
Visitor

A family member is receiving repeated calls to their landline which appear to be from my EE mobile number. I understand that spoofing happens, but what puzzles me is that the scammers are calling my family member, so they clearly know there is a connection between me and that landline. That suggests they had access to either my contacts or the family member’s contacts. Any advice on potential risks?

@AN82   If your numbers are saved via a iCloud service change your password for that service.  And change any password for any such service that you’re number is used with ie WhatsApp.    Spoofing happens like you say but it’s calls to your own phone book that’s strange.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.
