Hi

i’ve just had a similar message from 07455 468474.  Seeing as I haven’t joined any reward’s schemes to me it’s a scam.

Blocked & Reported.

I had a text recently. It seemed odd to offer free items but ask for 10 pence fee, with risks of disclosing bank account details. I didn't see any obvious typos and it seemed to have or link to some genuine EE site details.

The pressure to act without delay seemed  suspicious.

Hi @Rabx

Any message asking for bank details would not be from EE and would be a scam text.

Please report it by forwarding or copying the message and sending this to 7726 as a text message.

Leanne.

My wifes mobile received a message about gift vouchers that we thought could be genuine but uncertain, unfortunately it was very late last night and we decided to have a go firstly with my credit card for £0.1 , that didn't work and then my wife's debit card for £0.1 that didn't work either was immediately suspicious so rang the bank and had both cards eliminated seeking 2 new cards. Mobile phones are highly vulnerable to these attacks using legitimate company details, tecnology development is making these scams highly dangerous. Lets hope there will be no further contacts from these scammers, if there are will immediately report to the police.
