Dear Alison Kirby,
After 20+ years as a happy BT customer my account was transferred to EE in April.
My BT internet had the included, easy to set up, security - probably the reason why I stayed with BT… EE also state they provide security, so I agreed to an EE contract.
4 months later, after many calls to BT/EE, I have still not got the protection of security. After being informed to take my IPad into an EE shop, I went to EE’s Blackpool shop yesterday. A young man by the name of Liam spent a considerable time at the front of the shop on my IPad and at the back of the shop on the shop’s computer and even he was unable to activate EE’s Cyber Security for me.
This afternoon I was raging when informed I could not cancel my contract because it did not include Cyber Security…
THE ONLY REASON I AGREED TO MOVE OVER TO EE IS DUE TO BELIEVING I COULD HAVE INTERNET SECURITY!
After 4 months I believe this matter has caused enough upset to me. I am not a young man and felt my heart racing to the extent I had to put the phone down - the unjustness of being financially forced to stay with a provider that cannot provide a service I require. It would appear EE are offering services they are unable to 100% provide.
Please request EE to send their cancellation bill to me and take court action when it remains unpaid due to, after 4 months, still not being able to provide the security protection I require.
Within such records are details of being “hacked”. I had no security to protect me.
Please also ask BT/EE to send me recordings of all voice communications and computer records.
Yours sincerely
