http://radio-myaccount.ee.co.uk/
One of my logins showed this url. Can someone explain what this "radio" link is? The other interesting thing is this: when I logged out of the official site, it asked me this question: do I want to download Front Channel? What does it mean?
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

@George8616
Sounds like a glitch, as those are not usual expected experience of using the online account.
This would need to be raised with our technical support guides to get a support ticket raised for.
Please call us on 150 from an EE phone or see our Contact Us | Help & Support | EE to call from any other phone, and the team will be happy to take this further.

Hi @George8616
Welcome to the EE Community
This this question appear while you were logged in through the EE website?
Did this only happen once or does it happen each time?

The initial question raised in this thread asks about the meaning of an invitation to download "Front Channel" when using the EE website. Today I checked my October and November mobile bills on the EE website using a Mac. After I logged out of my EE account I noticed two zero bytes files had appeared in the downloads folder - both sourced from the EE website. One file was called "login" and other one was called "front-channel". Is this part of the same glitch?

Hey there @RobHC 😊
Welcome to the Community, and thanks for taking the time to highlight this too!
When was it that these small files were added to your downloads folder; was it upon checking your bills, or did they only appear when you went to logout?
Which browser is it you're using too?

Thank you for your interest in the zero bytes files generated by the EE website on a Mac computer. I’ve just replicated the process that generates the 2 small files in my Downloads folder.
In answer to your first question: the “login” and “front-channel” files were only added to the downloads folder when I went to log out. They did not appear when I opened the https://ee.co.uk portal; nor while I navigated to Manage | Bills & Payments and then entered my log in details. I then used the “Download Bill” link to download my current bill before using the “Choose a date” link to select a previous bill, followed by the “Download Bill” link. I then navigated to my profile page where I clicked on the “Log out” link. At this point the 2 files appeared in my Downloads folder.
In answer to the second question: the browser was Safari Version 18.1.1 (20619.2.8.11.12) running on an M2 Mac.

Thanks @RobHC.
I've given this a test using Edge on Windows and aren't noticing the same issues, but when trying Safari on iOS I did get a popup requesting to download 'login'.
Can you give this a try on a different browser via your Mac to see if you notice the same?
If we get a few examples I can definitely get this flagged.

Result: no sign of any zero byte files being downloaded to my Downloads folder when I logged out.
It therefore seems that the zero byte file downloads are a glitch associated with the use of the current version of Apple’s Safari browser to access mobile account info on EE’s site. I’m sure the zero byte files are harmless and can be deleted – at worst they’re a mild irritant. Thanks again for taking an interest.
