In a moment of stupidity I opened a text message link and put in my phone number on a EE points rewards scam text. I realised immediately after and closed the website so all they have is my phone number. Do I need to do anything? Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi @EuanG2
What details did you enter?
If you haven't entered your email or any passwords or banking details they'd not have access to that.

They had your phone number already to send you the text but all you've done is to confirmed that your phone number is live. Report to EE as spam, you're okay.

Hi
I got this message from this number I checked it sent me to the original ee website so I don’t know if this was a scam or but I have reported it still though to 7726 and I will contact my bank

Yes, I had something very similar and it had 17 other names attached in the message.
I put it as spam and was directed to EE.

Hi Zusegod10
Glad you got things sorted, don't be hard on yourself these things are created to catch people out so your not the only one, I'm glad you acted fast and contacted your bank.
There is another thread on here that's all about this as it's been going around for sometime now.
Anyway glad you sorted it, all the best
