@Phat187  EE can not block someone from calling you but what device do you have as phones do have the ability to block numbers that are not in your phone book.  This will obviously block all numbers that are not in your phone book.

You should also report this to the police as this can be dealt with legally.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

iPhone 11 plus - I ve tried a lockdown function on but texts seem still come through -

Your phone has not been hacked. Change your number if you want to stop it, and be careful who gets your new number. EE may do this for free if you are receiving abuse.

Good afternoon @Phat187 , welcome to the EE Community.

I totally get that this must be causing you a fair bit of stress, and there are definitely a few options we have available to help support you with this.

What is it that's making you think your number has been hacked? As @chistery mentioned this is very unlikely?

Also how long has this been happening for, and how often is it happening?

Peter

Hey Phat,

I hope these people have stopped harassing you and you've found peace.

Can I ask what they were like? I don't know if you'll see this as its an old post, but I've been getting a call today which sounded a lot little the infamous Golden state killer recording.

Muffled breathing then "I'll kill you" over and over... I am horrified.

I reported it to the police but realistically it's a creep using a throwaway number or a horrible prank.

I'd feel more comfortable knowing I'm not the only one. What was this call like? Was it the ones people phone talk about where it's fake kidnappers and cartels? At least I understand the motivation to scam money from those ones. This one was simply a threat for threats sake

Hi @Siphona

Thanks for coming here.

I am very sorry to hear you have been receiving these calls and understand how scary it must be.

Are they calling from the same number?

Speak soon,

Katie

Just the one number right now, very scary.. I have it blocked but will keep an eye out if others pop up

I reported it as spam but not sure if there's anymore more proper to report as an abusive number

Hi @Siphona

If you're concerned at all about this phone call that you received, I suggest reporting it to the police

Our Mobile Care team will be able to change your number for you, if you need to.

I reported it to the police already but they sadly said it can take months to do anything and that it's most likely a throwaway number that won't link to anyone, like one of those proxy number sites... Sadly not very comforting.

Got another missed call while I was asleep today from another unrecognisable number with no info pop up...

Change of number would be great.  I did buy a new sim last year thinking I could have a separate business number but oddly the day I plugged it in before even using it for anything I got bombarded with fake robot voice mails of a Chinese voice. (after searching the forum it seemed to be a weirdly common issue). So I abandoned the sim as the calls were literally happening all day from different numbers.

I am so so shaken up still.  I've never had to change my number before and I have so much linked to it.
