Hi,
I ordered new EE sim, and I wanted to keep my old number (giff gaff), completed all the steps sent the PAC number.
Received today new ee sim, but there is no signal in it. is that normal??
Do I need to wait 24hour for activation? so the whole transfer is completed? so far giff gaff number is still active.
Many Thanks

Hi @teraculum
Thanks for coming here.
The SIM card should register once installed in an EE or unlocked device.
Could you try restarting the phone and see if an EE signal shows?

hi Leanne,
I restarted the phone and still no signal. I called the number provided with the sim and its stated that i dialled incorrect number.
Where the signal bar is its only shows ! and EE emergency Calls only, so not sure if there is any way to activate that sim or I need another sim card.

Is your phone locked to another network, @teraculum?
Are you in the UK?
Is it a pay as you go or pay monthly SIM?

yes in UK.
Its pay as you go with subscription.
My phone is not locked to any network.
Its dual sim moto g23, i swapped around the sim slots and the giff gaff sim works perfectly in both slots, where EE dont.

I bought £10 subscription pack with sim, and I opted to keep my number.
new sim arrived today, I popped it in and its not working. So i dont know if i need to wait for the activation or what?is the sim faulty?

Hi @teraculum,
It can take up to 24 hours for your SIM to activate, although it's usually much quicker.
If it still isn't working tomorrow, please get in touch with Customer Care on 07953 966 150.
Thanks 🙂
