Hi, I spoke to EE last week about moving to EE from sky, i gave her my pac code and she sent the sim out to me which I received today 9th Jan, I have just put the sim in my phone to activate it, the only message I have had at the moment was a Hi and welcome to EE, it's great to have you on board. When will I know that my old number is being moved to this sim

Your new EE SIM will have a temporary number assigned when you first receive it. If a PAC was supplied as part of the order, that will be submitted when you first activate the new SIM onto EE's network.

A port-in date will be set then, usually the following working day. This assumes activation during normal working hours - if during the evening, add an extra working day to these timescales.

Thank you, this is the first time of doing this, so didn't really know what to expect

If you're looking to switch networks, you'll need a PAC code to keep your number. If you don't have a PAC code, you'll not be able to transfer your number between networks.

When you start a new line and receive your new SIM card it will have a new number which you'll use.

For most networks, you can generally text PAC to 65075 from the SIM card to get the PAC code.
