Did you mean:

eSim does not activate, old SIM stays activated.

So I'm going overseas soon for a long time and I need to use a prepaid SIM there.

So I thought I'd replace the physical SIM in my fairphone 4 with an eSIM. I go through the process, download the eSIM, activate it with a single use code and nothing. The old SIM stays active and the new one simply doesn't do anything.

Anyone got any tips for this?

You can't have an eSIM on PAYG.

It's not. It's a new contract, or upgrade to be precise.

No no, I need to get one overseas and I'd like my current contract SIM to be an eSIM.

Hi @Grix3,

Welcome to the EE Community. 🙂

Sorry, your phone isn't currently a supported device for EE eSIM.

Thanks

James

You say that, but it's working now, and my old SIM is deactivated. 🤷

Thanks for the update @Grix3

I'm happy to hear you've been able to get it working, despite it not being an officially supported device.
