eSIM trouble

Hey, switching providers from sky to EE and just got a sim only deal and a ESIM QR through the post. All it does it take me to get the app and when it says link a product and I put my number it says I can’t do it. I chose to keep the same number also. Can anybody help and tell me what I’m doing wrong?

Has your number transferred over to EE yet? Have you tried registering with your temporary number, if you know what it is?

I chose to scrap ESIM and get a physical SIM card, ordered it through the replacement feature on the app
