My phone is under contract until next August. Its a two year contract so had the phone and number 15 month. Is it possible to change my ee number

Switched over to EE

Hi guys, just wanted to know how long will it take my number to move over to EE. I’ve received my phone today with a new sim, new number. When I ordered the phone I also gave a PAC code, not sure if the same will work or a new one is needed.
