Verification codes not received

I have switched my old number from giffgaff to EE.last week i tried to get uber verification code but didn’t received.thought my sim might not activated yet.today i sent verification code from ali express but still i am not receiving any code.

Just to be sure here, is it all verification codes that don't seem to be coming through?
Have you tried sending a message to your own number to see if this is delivered?
