Good morning. I've recently upgraded to SIM only. I've received the card but I don't know what I have to do to ensure I keep my original number? Help please!

Welcome to the EE Community. 🙂
If you upgraded, you can continue to use the same SIM card, your plan will have already switched over.
If you are changing phones and your old SIM doesn't fit, you can activate it at Activate your SIM.
