Keeping phone number.

Afterwords all, just received a new sim for wife’s phone. All ok, but won’t let me save her old number in settings even tho we had a PAC code. Wots very strange tho, is if I wots app her, it goes to number we are trying to keep, but if I phone on old number goes to old provider. Any ideas?

Hi Leanne. Yes I’ve received the Sim and it’s in the phone now. Haven’t received message relating to number switch though. Just the standard restart etc.

We  can wots app and it uses old number, even tried to save new number in settings, to no avail.

Its an iPhone 11. Think I may have to wait a day or two. Thanks Leanne.

Welcome to the community,

Were you moving from another network? 

When did you give the PAC code to EE? This is only possible if moving from one network to another.

Was her number from her old network switched off? Moves do not happen over the weekend.

The only other suggestion is to ring customer service and they should be able to take a look for you.

To contact EE customer service dial 150 from your mobile phone or ring customer service for free using Skype or another phone: +44 800 079 8586 or +44 800 956 6000.

Hi mate. Yeah I ordered the sim on Sunday, so I guess I’ll have to wait a day or two. Thanks for the reply tho. 👍🏻

Have you had a text to the EE SIM card let you know the number transfer has started?

I would suggest giving us a call on 150, the team will check the number transfer is set up and let you know when this will be completed.

If you call 150 from the EE phone and then option 1, then option 2.
