Trying to find a way to get an Esim

I'm coming to the UK to study at Oxford in about a month. I want to set up an eSIM on my phone so that I can have a functioning phone when I arrive. Is there a way to buy an eSIM online ( as I don't have an address for them to send a SIM to yet) (I also don't have a British bank  account yet but this is solvable ) and is there a way to pay with an American bank account?

Hi @Pangolin2020  You can get an eSIM with an EE pay monthly contract. For this you will need a UK address and to pass a credit check which if you have no UK credit history may prove difficult. Like most UK networks, EE doesn't do an eSIM for PAYG yet.

When I try to make an account online it's only letting me buy a normal SIM, but since I'm not in the UK yet IDK if it will let me. Is there something I could click to make this happen?

Hi @Pangolin2020,

Welcome to the EE Community. 🙂

Are you trying to purchase a pay as you go or pay monthly SIM?
